Prof. Stuart Bradley
Research related to the development of image sharpening (deconvolution) of 3D acoustic maps generated using microphone arrays (acoustic cameras), beamforming algorithms, and computer vision techniques. Developed a 72 channel microphone phased array including hardware, data acquisition, software, signal processing algorithms, and computer vision scanning system. First to perform3D deconvolution of beamforming maps generated using the 3D surface of an object scanned using computer vision techniques. This was shown to be more accurate than the traditional 2D method in near-field and at higher frequencies. Also, was the first to develop a complete combined microphone array and camera calibration technique.
